Composite images & newborn photography safety.

Updated: Aug 11, 2021

One of the most common questions I get asked as a newborn photographer is how I make all the images look so perfect. These are squirmy, fussy (absolutely adorable) infants I am photographing, after all, and the goal is to create stunning photographs for families to treasure forever.

The truth is that I work a lot of magic during and after the shoot, primarily with a little trick referred to as composite imagery. I combine multiple images in photoshop to create one beautiful picture. Sometimes it’s a matter of capturing a better expression in one shot and then combining it with another photo where the positioning is better.

Newborn safety, it’s my absolute number one priority in any newborn photo session, and I won’t do anything the baby or parent isn’t comfortable with.

As a newborn photographer, I pride myself on newborn safety. I'm trained not just to use a camera but also to ensure the baby is kept happy, comfortable, and safe throughout the session.

I hope you found this information insightful ☺️
