As a Fraser Coast family photographer, I've enjoyed capturing many memorable moments in people's lives. Still, a spaghetti smash photo shoot with little Siena was one of the most unique and fun photo sessions I've ever done. The idea of a "smash" photo session has become increasingly popular in recent years, with cake smashes being a common choice for first birthdays. But this family wanted to do something a little different; being from an Italian background, we decided on a spaghetti smash for her birthday.
I set up a super cute Italian-style kitchen with a big bowl of spaghetti, delicious Neapolitan sauce, and a big wooden spoon. Siena was all smiles as she dug into the bowl, splashing spaghetti sauce everywhere and giggling with delight. I captured every messy moment, snapping away as she played with the food, creating a beautiful and funny mess that would make anyone smile.
Despite the mess, the spaghetti smash photo session was a huge success. Siena had a blast, and her mother, Laura, was thrilled with the final images. It was a fun way to celebrate Siena's love for spaghetti and capture her sweet innocence at the same time.
